The dawn of 2013 brought a fresh blanket of snow here in Missouri. It was also my first sunrise shot with my new camera, the Nikon D800, a 36-megapixel beast that I’m growing to love. I got it a couple weeks ago and it’s a huge step up from the 12-megapixel D700 I had before. A few years ago I never would have dreamed I’d be shooting with such a camera!<\/p>\n
I arrived at James A. Reed Memorial Wildlife Area just after dawn and was greeted by this amazing sky. It didn’t last long so I’m glad I got out of bed when I did.<\/p>\n
